Matt learned the mortgage industry from the ground up in 2001, he joined his father’s mortgage broker firm in Walnut Creek, CA; in 2007, he added mortgage banking to his services when he joined Envoy Mortgage, Managing his first office in Concord, CA, with a team of 3. Citing his father’s extensive industry knowledge, unwavering work ethic, and keen attention to customer service, Matt follows his father’s lead to this day, punctuating his own entrepreneurial spirit with a corporate culture model that puts a premium on listening to clients and team members, brainstorming ideas and solutions, and keeping lines of communications open at all times. His tenacity translates into resourcefulness: “No” is not an answer when the answer does not make sense. He sticks with issues and obstacles until he finds an acceptable answer, makes sense of one that was given, or connects with the person who can help sort it out, crediting the team approach to helping clients move from loan candidate to loan qualifier. Matt earned his bachelors from Chico State University with a major in music business and a minor in business administration. He is a licensed broker through the State of California, a member of the Contra Costa Associations of Realtors ®, and certified for CalHFA. A lifelong learner, Matt continues his educations through multiple services that instruct in law, ethics, best practices, and the mortgage industry in general to broaden his scope of knowledge and provide higher levels of service.
